AS PART OF THE GLOBAL PURSUIT, POP MAKES IT TO RIO DE JANEIRO! THIS WAS POP'S FIRST TIME IN RIO TO HOST "PURSUIT IN RIO". THE MEET THAT WAS FACILITATED BY LOCAL CREATIVES DREW OVER 75 ATTENDEES ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 11TH IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF URCA NEXT TO THE RED BEACH.

The meet that was planned in Rio was made possible by David and Cynthia; two local photographers who helped gather the community together. Every meet beings with a group shot and an introduction from key creatives that help promote the meet. We had over 20 guest photographers and models that kicked-off the meet with sharing a little of who they are, what they do and thereby add a little context to their involvement . "It's not even about the numbers or how many people attend our meets; it's about meeting a few like-minded people who value in-person connections over online engagement. When you meet someone in your community one-on-one, it adds so much more meaning to the work they put out there. It also reinforces a sense of respect and credibility", says Saunak Shah, Founder of Pursuit of Portraits.
The meet that drew over 75 attendees was huge in terms of providing a space for creatives to come together. We have already seen over 350 photos with the meets hashtag #PoPxRIO in just a week.
