September was an incredibly busy month for the team at Pursuit of Portraits. On Saturday, September 17th, PoP hosted the "Picnic Potluck Instameet" in celebration of Instagram's World Wide Instameet Weekend 14 in honor of Food. Over 200 attendees came together to create portraits, memories, and new connections over a potluck picnic, with essentials graciously sponsored by FoodKick and tunes generously made possible through speakers donated by JBL. Our thanks also go to Woodsnap and AdoramaPix for supporting prizes for portrait categories. The afternoon led into PoP's biggest event of the year, the launch party for the inaugural Pursuit of Portraits Magazine, which kicked off at W New York - Union Square. Thank you to W New York - Union Square for hosting us for our inaugural launch party. Hundreds toasted to the launch and enjoyed a photo exhibition hosted in partnership with AdoramaPix, showcasing select work from the magazine. Featuring the portraits by 160 photographers from 25 different countries, the first Pursuit of Portraits print magazine is truly a labor of love that marks the latest evolution in PoPs mission to keep pushing the portraiture photography movement forward.
