With New Year's just around the corner, we at Pursuit of Portraits wanted to take a few moments to thank all of you for being part of a memorable 2016. We're really happy with what we've accomplished together this past year. Now nearly two years old, the PoP community has grown to include 93k followers, with over 730k posts made within the #pursuitofportraits Instagram hashtag!
However, the best part of 2016 was being able to spend time with so many of you in person to create a ton of beautiful portraits at our various Instameets. Whether it was at our love-themed In the Mood for Love meet in Battery Park, Sunrise meet at Grace Farms in Connecticut, Hello Earthlings meet in Central Park in honor of Earth Day, Pursuit in Seattle meet in Discovery Park, our Picnic Potluck Instameet in Prospect Park, or Twilight Meet at Pier 64 -- we loved being able to connect and collaborate with the PoP community. We also have an upcoming meet in January 2017!
As a team, we were thrilled to venture to Iceland for our first Europe-based meet where we had the opportunity to capture the beauty of beautiful Reykjavik. We were also proud to creatively partner with Amsterdam-based fashion brand Scotch & Soda to shoot their Fall/Winter 2016 collection for New York Fashion Week.
2016 was also the year we launched our inaugural print issue of the Pursuit of Portraits Magazine. Featuring portraits by 160 photographers and 188 models from 25 countries, we couldn't be happier that this labor of love finally became a reality this past Fall.
